Julia
Dr. Julia Hasenbank

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Julia Hasenbank has been practicing for 18 years. She grew up in Scottville, Michigan, and planned to become a veterinarian from an early age. After high school, she attended Michigan State University, where she received a BS in Animal Science in 2001 and later a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She practiced at a mixed animal clinic for 10 years and moved back to West Michigan for another 8 years before becoming the owner of Hart Animal Clinic.

She enjoys building relationships with clients and helping guide pet owners in providing a long, healthy life for their pets through clear communication and education. She has a special interest in surgery and internal medicine.

She enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Chris, her children, Grace and Wesley, as well as their three cats, Bob, Grey, and Cookie. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, home renovation, running, and hiking.

Holly Peeraer
Holly, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Holly has been practicing for 14 years as an LVT and 18 years working in the veterinary field. She completed school at Baker College in Muskegon. She loves providing client service, education, and compassionate patient care. She has a special interest in surgery, including monitoring, patient care, and educating clients at the time of discharge from the clinic.

In her free time, she enjoys kayaking and completing artistic projects.

Shelby Maxvill

Veterinary Assistant/ Client Service Representative

Shelby started working in the veterinary field in January 2023, and she has been an animal lover her whole life and has always wanted to care for animals. She is dedicated to caring for all animals and giving pet owners the peace of mind that their furbaby will be taken care of.

Shelby has always loved doing art, which has been a favorite free time activity since she was young, whether drawing, painting, or coloring. She enjoys being able to express her creative mind.

Tara Carlson
Tara

Customer Service Representative

Tara has been working in the veterinary field for 4 years. She completed school at West Shore Community College and Ferris State University. When it comes to veterinary medicine and/or taking care of patients, Tara strives to provide excellent customer service to clients and their fur babies.

In her free time, she cuddles with her cats and enjoys watching movies and TV.

Beckie Hunter
Beckie

Client Service Representative/ Veterinary Assistant

Beckie has worked in the field for 29 years. She completed school at Muskegon Community College and Ross Medical Center.

She loves to provide compassionate, patient care and client education. In her free time, she enjoys bible study, prayer, gardening, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, foraging, kayaking, and cat lap for Fluff and Squirt (her cats at home).

Victoria Gutierrez
Alexis

Veterinary Assistant

Alexis is a dedicated veterinary assistant with a strong passion for animal care. She is currently pursuing her educational goals at Baker College, where she is deepening her knowledge and skills in the field. Alexis’s love for animals is evident in her work, as she finds joy in interacting with both pets and their owners. She takes pride in witnessing the progress pets make in their health and comfort levels, and she is driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

When not tending to the needs of patients, Alexis enjoys spending her time outdoors. Her favorite activities include camping, kayaking, tubing, and spending quality time with friends and family, including her beloved dog, Xena. She also cherishes their adventures to the beach, where Xena can frolic in the water and enjoy their shared companionship.
